According to eye witnesses, the owner, Walter Dahringer, a German national, enticed the cat by offering it food, before snatching it up and throwing it in a blue plastic carrier bag. He then repeatedly beat the bag on the stone pavement, ignoring the screams of agony of the cat inside. When the cat was finally dead he simply tossed the bag inside a rubbish bin near his restaurant.

ReplyDeleteWe are visiting SAL in September and will certainly NOT be visiting this restaurant. How horrific, brutal and uncalled for - totally wrong. Don't they realise if they showed more kindness to their animals tourists would flock to this island. I will certainly be passing the word on this restaurant to other friends. Totally disgraceful and he should not be allowed to operate. Thank you for sharing this and letting the public know just how cruel this man in and his restaurant.
